It was Becky Lynch, who came out with both RAW and Smackdown Women’s Title at the end of WrestleMania 35. Becky pinned Ronda Rousey to win the match in the main event.
WrestleMania 35 Main Event Finish Worked as Planned?
Becky’s pin to Ronda was but controversial. Ronda Rousey’s shoulder was up in the time around the third count by the referee. This led to the speculation of batched finish in the main event. Dave Melzer from Wrestling Observer already stated the main event went as planned.
In the latest update, Sports Illustrated has reported the same with a bit of update. They have told the main event went as planned, and Rousey lifting the shoulder was on the plan.
SI has quoted, “The loss marked Rousey’s first defeat in WWE, and the finish of the match was designed to protect Rousey and keep her character strong. Because Rousey got her shoulder up for part of the pinfall that ended the match, the finish protects her and allows her to say Lynch did not legitimately defeat her.”
Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey In Plans For WrestleMania 36!
The same source has also said that WWE has tentatively planned Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch for the WrestleMania 36 at the Tampa Bay on April 5, 2020.
Ronda Rousey is said to be taking time off. The main reason for Rousey taking hiatus from WWE is she wants to start a family. If a family is the plan of Rousey then returning in the span of a year is way harder.
